About Me
I remember baking M & M cookies for my grandfather when I was around 10 years old (which was a long time ago). I loved to bake for him and for anyone and everyone. Over the course of many years, still baking and sharing with family and friends, I would sometimes think about opening my own bakery. Then I would remind myself that I hate getting up early, kind of a necessity when running a bakery, plus I already had a full-time job. Fast forward a few decades - decades of collecting, tweaking, and perfecting recipes, giving samples to anyone willing to taste. With the pandemic upon us, it was now or never to finally put together a menu of my favorite, and best received, sweets. With the help of my almost-teenage daughter, I've been able to get my online business started. Only up and running since just before Easter 2022, it started with a simple social media post. I have been touched and extremely thankful by the outpouring of support.

Who is Lucy?
Naming the business was a months-long challenge where we came up with some really bad ideas. I would have loved to have my daughter's name for the business but she didn't like the idea. And, I have the most hated name in America right now, so "Karen's Sweet Tooth" wasn't even a consideration. We finally decided to give our sweet Pitbull the honor. Lucy's hard to resist and takes a great photo (look at that face!). She would eat all the inventory if we let her, but we don't because we love her.
